Feeling Small

Just one of those days when you

feel small

Like you’re in the shadows

of Someone Tall

And you’re just, standing there. While they’re winning

you’re just … falling somewhere

And you don’t really feel like anything at all.

But,

Praise be to the One who created small and tall and,

To the One who created rise and fall and,

The One who created life’s bridges and walls.

Most importantly,

Praise be to the One who created light for all.

Here’s a little poem I wrote a while back about feeling small. I feel like this sometimes, especially when I’m in situations where I don’t feel as confident as I could be. But then I always remind myself that I shouldn’t be comparing myself to others. I have my own strengths and talents, and other people have theirs. I am my own person and I just need to focus on what I can do and work on that. So here’s my little reminder to say that you should too!
