Simple Words

Here’s a poem I wrote a while ago for the #singthesalawatchallenge created by Pearls of Islam. They challenged us to write about the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), sending praises his way. I hope you like it! Xxx

Just those simple words hold

the power to feed my soul.

Just those simple words make me feel

like my purpose is real.

Just those simple words can carry

peace, true love and harmony.

Just those simple words – 

are simply

sublime.

And when those simple words are sweetly spoken each night

as i close my eyes,

it keeps my faith alive.

And so I dedicate these simple words

to the one who taught us those simple words,

to the one who taught us how to praise Allah,

to you, Ya Rasulullah.
