Very easy to prepare and a delicious nibble that can be whizzed up in no time if you have unexpected guests!
As always with my recipes, you can adapt the quantities according to your taste. I like to add nutritional yeast to boost the nutritional content of my tapenade and to be honest, you can’t even taste it. So if you don’t have any or don’t like it, you can skip it.
170g black olives
1 big clove of garlic
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional)
1 tbsp capers (rinsed)
juice of 1/4 lemon
salt & pepper
Mix all the ingredients together in a blender until you get a smooth puree.
Put in a jar and store in the fridge.
Serve as a dip or spread on crackers (try topping it with sundried tomatoes, it’s yum!).
