cinnamon nice-cream

Ice-cream is probably my favourite desserts. And nana ice-cream, nice-cream or banana ice-cream, whatever you call it, is certainly the healthiest, easiest and fastest way to make delicious healthy ice-cream!

I’m sure most of you are already familiar with it, but I’d like to share my favourite combinations with you.

Ingredients for the base recipe (makes 1 serving):

2 frozen bananas (in pieces or sliced)


Mix in a blender or food processor until you get a creamy texture. It’s really quick. But if you add solid ingredients, you may have to scrape down the sides and keep processing.


Now, here are some of the many different flavours you can create – simply put the ingredients with the bananas in the blender (adapt the quantities to your liking):

PB: a big dollop of peanut butter (add chocolate chips to it for a Reese’s peanut butter cup version!)

Coconut: 1/2 cup coconut milk + 1/4 cup shredded coconut

Cinnamon: 1 tsp cinnamon (or more if you’re as much of a fan as I am)

Mocha: 1 tbsp (raw) cocoa powder + 1 tbsp instant coffee

Caramel: 1/4 cup soaked dates

Pumpkin Pie: 1 tbsp pumpkin spice (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove) + 1/4 cup pumpkin puree

Cherry: 1/2 cup cherries (fresh or frozen) – feel to add chocolate chips too!

Pear and Walnut: 1 pear (fresh or frozen) + a handful of walnuts

The boozy one: 1 tbsp rum + 1/4 cup raisins
